  We are again seeing signs of an unbalanced risk pool based on the results of the 2017 open enrollment period. Therefore weve decided we cant continue to offer this coverage in 2018. Were really feeling that this organization needs to stay focused on what we do well, and I think what we do well is serving chronic conditions. I think its going to be hard for us to get back into that marketplace.

According to data from sign-ups on the 12 exchanges operated by states and the District of Columbia will increase by at least 2% compared with last year. However the federal marketplace, had about 4% fewer sign-ups, as of the close of open enrollment Jan. 31. Total sign-ups on were at 9.2 million, around 400,000 fewer than last year.
